1 bottle Balblair 1951. 24 years old at time of bottling. No box. 80 proof. 26 2/3 fluid ounces. Level in neck. Slight tear to base of label and some foxing. This was a privately owned cask that spent its entire life maturing at the Balblair Distillery. The vendor's father had been unaware that it was still in his posesion at the time of bottling hence its long aging. It was bottled at 24 years of age in Elgin by Gordon & MacPhail using the distillery's licenced labelling of the time. The bottles were never sold publicly and were either consumed, handed out or sold privately within the family. A stunning rarity that should make for memorable drinking. This is the last bottle still owned by the family. This is the final bottle is from the same family owned batch as the ones from previous auctions. After this it is extremely unlikely any more will come to market.
