A nice old bottling of Booker's 7 Year Old Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey, from batch B94-E-13 and bottled at a formidable 63.2% ABV.
Booker's was created by legendary Jim Beam master distiller Frederick "Booker" Noe, grandson of Jim Beam, and was introduced commercially in the late 1980s. The whiskey was inspired by the uncut, unfiltered bourbon Booker had previously selected from the warehouses and bottled as gifts for friends and associates.
The batch code B94-E-13 provides precise information about the whiskey's production: B denotes the Boston plant, 94 indicates 1994, E represents May, and 13 the 13th day, giving a distillation date of 13 May 1994. With the label stating that the whiskey was aged for approximately seven years, this would place the bottling around 2001 or 2002.
Bottled at 63.2% ABV, equivalent to 126.4 US proof, this is a powerful early example of Booker's, presented in the distinctive wax-sealed bottle with its handwritten-style label. Bottlings from this period are increasingly difficult to find and offer a fascinating example of Booker's before barrel-strength bourbon became the major category it is today.
The story of Jim Beam begins with Johannes “Jacob” Beam, a German immigrant who settled in Kentucky in the late 18th century. Using surplus corn from his farm, he produced his first commercial bourbon in 1795, laying the foundations for what would become one of America's most influential whiskey dynasties. His grandson David M. Beam relocated the family distillery to Nelson County in 1854 and introduced commercial bottling under the Old Tub name in 1880. In 1894, James Beauregard "Jim" Beam took charge of the business, rebuilding the distillery in Clermont after Prohibition and reopening it in 1934.
The company adopted the Jim Beam name in 1943, cementing his legacy. Under later generations, including legendary Master Distiller Booker Noe, the Beam family introduced acclaimed brands such as Booker's, Baker's, Basil Hayden and Knob Creek. Today, alongside historic bourbons including Old Grand-Dad and Old Crow, Jim Beam remains one of the world's best-known bourbon producers as part of Suntory Global Spirits.
Booker's is one of the most influential bourbons of the modern era, produced by the James B. Beam Distilling Co. and created by legendary master distiller Booker Noe, the sixth-generation descendant of Jim Beam. Introduced in 1988, it helped redefine premium bourbon by becoming one of the first widely available releases bottled straight from the barrel at natural cask strength, without chill filtration.
Originally made as a special whiskey for family, friends and honoured guests, its popularity soon led to a commercial release. Each batch is individually selected, named and accompanied by a story reflecting Booker Noe's life, family and decades of bourbon-making experience.

All bottles are inspected prior to sale and, unless otherwise stated, are sealed. However, Whisky-Online Auctions cannot guarantee the integrity of any cork, seal, stopper or closure.

If the filling level is impossible to determine, such as with ceramics decanters, we will provide an overall weight of the decanter in KG. Any questions relating to condition, authenticity, provenance, fill level, dating or packaging must be raised before bidding. Questions or concerns raised after a bid has been placed, after the auction has ended, or after a Lot has been won will not constitute grounds for cancelling a bid, refusing payment or disputing the sale.
