LOT DESCRIPTION

1 bottle Bowmore 1955 - 1974. Bottled for the opening of the visitor center in 1974. Ceramic half bottle with moulded plastic seal over ceramic stopper. No box. No statements of strength or capacity. Splitting to outer seal, to reveal exposed stopper, well driven. No visible sign of seepage. Level audibly high, around tp shoulder / base of neck. This is a legendary bottling and regarded as one of the finest Bowmores ever bottled. It was largley given to staff upon release; the majoity of whom drank it as they were walking out of the distillery gates. Buyers please note that the seal remains slightly fragile due to ageing. As a result we would recommend collection of this item in person, however should shipping be required please be aware that this bottle will be thoroughly protected with parafilm prior to shipping to arrest any potential further damage to seal or seepage of contents.

We do not auction opened bottles so therefore all items are sealed unless stated under certain circumstances where seals were never issued by the producer.

No item is deemed new, however many items are generally in good condition. When this is not the case, we aim to mention any faults in the description. The images supplied are of the actual item you will receive. If the filling level of the liquid is not visible in the images provided, we aim to indicate the current position in the description.
