1 bottle Bowmore 1955 - 1974. Bottled for the opening of the visitor center in 1974. Ceramic half bottle with moulded plastic composite seal over ceramic stopper. In original presentation box with original bookletts inside and handle tag. Bottle number 64. No statements of strength or capacity. Level is audibly exceptionally high almost at the base of the stopper itself. This is a legendary bottling and regarded as one of the finest Bowmores ever bottled. It was largley given to staff upon release, the majoity of whom drank it as they were walking out of the distillery gates. This vendor of this bottle was gifted it for their work on the construction and design of the Visitor Center in the early 1970s leading up to the opening in 1974. I have had the privilege to see several examples of this bottle in my time. However this is by far the best conditon one I have ever seen. Apart from some slight natural wear to the box itself it remains in exceptional condition.
