Cameronbridge is one of Europe’s largest distilleries with a capacity, as of 2023, of around 130-150 million litres of spirit per annum. The Cameronbridge distillery was built in 1824 near the Fife town of Windygates by John Haig of the eponymous whisky blending and distilling dynasty and today has several functions, making neutral grain spirit for Tanqueray, Gordon’s and Smirnoff as well as grain whisky for Diageo’s blends and the Haig Club single grain whisky formerly endorsed by David Beckham.

Cameronbridge was one of the original founders of the famous Distillers Company Limited grain whisky cartel and nowadays is Diageo’s only wholly-owned grain whisky distillery, equipped with three Coffey continuous stills each capable of producing 4000 litres per hour. Aside from Haig Club, official bottlings of Cameronbridge’s grain whisky are rare, though in recent years some excellent indie bottlings have appeared.

The Artful Dodger is a range of independently-bottled whiskies spun off from drinks merchants Woolf Drinks (formerly Woolf / Sung). Woolf Drinks was founded by Sebastian Woolf in 2012, with the first Artful Dodger whiskies appearing in 2018. The Artful Dodger brand is also associated with Woolf’s Brighton whisky bar Cut Your Wolf Loose.

Artful Dodger whiskies are packaged in eye-catching half-litre (50cl) apothecary bottles, and are always bottled at full cask strength without colouring or chill filtration. At the time of writing in 2024, there had been nearly thirty Artful Dodger releases since 2018, encompassing Scottish and Irish single malt, single grain, blended malt and blended Scotch whiskies as well as bourbon and even new make spirit. The company has won numerous awards for both its whiskies and its packaging design.

DISCLAIMER

Although a condition report is normally included in the Lot description, this is not comprehensive and is based on a brief overview. Most items will be described as good or fair, this does not mean it will not exhibit wear or tear. We do recommend viewing/close inspection prior to placing any bids. If this is not an option and you have questions beyond the offered description and images, please use the form below "Ask A Question" to make specific enquiries or to receive a more in-depth condition report. Otherwise, Lots will be sold as seen.
Please note: due to the various ages of bottles, corks and their seals, condition of liquid is at the buyer's discretion. And no claim can be lodged against failure/leakage in any circumstance. All bottles are checked for authenticity by our whisky specialists Wayne & Harrison Ormerod prior to any auction. We do not auction opened bottles so therefore all items are sealed unless stated under certain circumstances where seals were never issued by the producer.
No item is deemed new and may exhibit wear or tear, however many items are generally in good condition. If an item has notable faults, we will make every effort to mention these in the description. The images supplied are of the actual item you will receive. If the filling level of the liquid is not visible in the images provided, we aim to indicate the current position in the description. If the filling level is impossible to determine, such as with ceramics decanters, we will provide an overall weight of the decanter in KG. Our filling level guideline can be on this page.
All information in this listing is provided to the best of our knowledge including when we chose to provide a condition report or date the age of a bottle. If you are unhappy with the listing or believe there is an error/discrepancy, you should not place a bid and notify us immediately and we will address the Lot accordingly. Placing a bid confirms you have checked the Lot and are satisfied.
