1 bottle Locke's Liqueur Irish Whiskey. Distilled at Brusna Distillery established 1757 'Makers of famous Whiskey for 200 years'. Bottled late 1950s. Stopper cork and plain gold foil wrapper capsule. No box. No capacity stated but bottle is standard size. Level base of neck. Wear to label appropriate to age. Whiskey remains clear and should be perfectly drinkable. Brusna distillery was the original name of the Kilbeggan distillery until it ceased production in 1957 whereupon it lay silent until recommencing distilling in 2007. This bottle comes from a vendor in Northern Ireland who inherited it from her father who recived it as a gift in the 1950s. Given the bicentenial statement on the lower lable it would follow that this whisky was bottled sometime shortly after the closure of the distillery in 1957. Another beautiful old piece of liquid Irish distiling history.
