LOT DESCRIPTION

1 Macallan Peter Blake 80th Birthday Celebration miniature set in bespoke wooden presentation cabinet with book and DVD. Contains 8 x 5cl Miniatures representing each decade from the 1930s - 2000s varing in strength from 41.8% up to 62.2%. One of only 250 sets produced and signed by Peter Blake. All levels in neck. Pristine condition. This set was envisaged to represent 80 years of Peter Blake and Macallan. Peter Blake previously collaborated with Macallan on what is probably the most sought after bottling of whisky of the 20th century; the 1926 60 Year Old Peter Blake artist editon, only 12 bottles of which were produced in 1986. It is fitting then that this second collaboration is equally unique and beautiful. The design was also created with David Holmes, the designer responsible for Macallan's very first official advertisting campaign. All in all it is a remarkable fusion of whisky and modern art which captures and fuses the beauty and compelling nature of both Macallan and Peter Blake's designs.
