'' This bottling has a dark colour, almost red, which holds up surprisingly with water. Sulphurous, hessian nose and very sweet, treacle taste. It should be used on it's own as a liqueur, or for pouring over puddings. It is very strong and has a spicy aftertaste. It would be great for cooking with - by which emphatically we do not imply that it is in any sense a cooking whisky."
