Some natural ageing to label but otherwise excellent overall condition. Bottle comes with a letter signed by Springbank Distillery manager J C A McDougall confirming the original purchase of the bottle by the vendor in the Cadenhead's shop in Edinburgh and its authenticity. The letter is addressed to the vendor and although their name has been obscured for privacy reasons it will be visible to the eventual buyer. The bottle was purchased by the vendor in the late 1980s and the letter is dated 9th January 1991. See images. The Springbank 1919 was a limited release of just 24 bottles produced in 1970 by the Springbank Distillery. The bottling has since become one of the most famous and important Scottish whisky releases of the 20th century.
