Balvenie Rose 1991-2009 - 16 Year Old - Second Bottling 53.1%

Balvenie Rose 1991. 16 Year Old. In presentation box. 700ml. 53.1%.

Balvenie's labelling of their Rose bottlings was idiosyncratic to say the least. This is the second edition of the first release, arriving in 2009 at the slightly lower strength of 53.1%, and not to be confused with the second release 16-year-old which came the following year at 50.3%.

One of 426 bottles from first fill Port Pipes. These bottlings are getting harder to find nowadays. A bottling released in celebration of the history of Balvenie Castle, the rent for which was a single red rose back in 1460. This bottling was initially only available to staff and people who toured the Balvenie Distillery.
