Coleburn 1981-1992 - SMWS 56.3
1 bottle Coleburn 1981 - 1992. Scotch Malt Whisky Society 56.3. No box. 70cl. 65.5%. Level in neck. Good condition. Smoky and slightly peaty. From the archives. ''The spirit has a fine, dark colour, more bronze than gold. The sherry-wood origin is apparent to the nose, as are flowery scents and a marked maltiness. Somebody said thunderweed. Very sweet taste, but the sweetness of fruit rather than that of caramel. Smoky and slightly peaty. If you must smoke a cigar, this is the whisky to drink with it.'' Thunderweed? that's a new one to me.
