This special bottle is the fifth in a series of limited edition bottlings to commemorate the gold medals awarded to the Jack Daniel Distillery and its signature whiskey.

Over the years, this dedication has earned Jack Daniel's a number of international gold medals for excellence: St. Louis World's Fair, 1904; Liege, Belgium, 1905; Ghent Belgium, 1913; Anglo-American Exposition, London, 1914; Certificate of the Institute of Hygiene, London, 1915; Star of Excellence, Brussels, 1954; and Amsterdam, Holland, 1981.
