Balblair 1951 - 24 Year Old - G&M Private Bottling - Single Cask - 1970s

Balblair 1951. 24 Year Old. 45.7% / 80 proof. 75.7cl / 26 2/3 fluid ounces. This was a privately owned cask that spent its entire life maturing at Balblair distillery. The owner had forgotten it was still in his possession, hence its long ageing. Bottled in Elgin in the mid-1970s by Gordon & MacPhail using the distillery's licensed labelling of the time. These bottles were never sold publicly and were either consumed, handed out or sold privately within the family. A stunning rarity that should make for memorable drinking.
